The 2018 Municipal Election in Ottawa provided some definitive direction to our new Council that LRT construction and related development intensification is required. As well, the Election results provided a dose of change, in terms of the personalities around the table.

With two fresh faces from West Ottawa joining an experienced group of Councillors, we want to take the opportunity to discuss business community priorities and see where they intersect with our elected municipal representatives.

On January 17^th, the Ottawa Board of Trade will host its Local Breakfast Series event with a focus on West Ottawa with a panel discussion with Councillors Jenna Sudds, Eli El-Chantiry, Glen Gower and Allan Hubley. We will have them on the hot seat and ensure active audience participation to discuss the future of West Ottawa.

The Local Breakfast Series provides attendees the opportunity to make new connections, learn from inspiring speakers and to grow your business. The events are hosted at locations throughout the City of Ottawa and include networking over coffee, a buffet breakfast and content from a topical speaker or panel discussion focusing on the issues that drive your business. These events are open to the business community and provide a discounted ticket price for members of the Board of Trade.
